Hunt Country Hosts Senator Gillibrand

Hunt County Vineyards, Branchport, NY, hosted a roundtable meeting for Senator Gillibrand on August 25, 2011.

This listening session focused on federal policies and programs that help rural businesses succeed, including access to financing, small business technical training and new market opportunities.

Lee Beaulac, Sr. Vice President of PathStone facilitated the meeting.

As the first New Yorker to serve on the Senate Agriculture Committee in nearly 40 years, Senator Gillibrand plans to focus on a broad range of agricultural issues that are important to New York in the next Farm Bill, including access to financing, new market opportunities, assistance for dairy farms and specialty crops, and investments in renewable energy.
